About Joyce

Joyce Shore has been a licensed interior designer working with residential and business clients throughout South Florida for more than 20 years.

In addition to helping families and individuals create their dream homes, Joyce has worked with corporate clients in a variety of fields, from high-tech medical providers to the hospitality industry. Joyce has designed a series of MRI scan centers. She has also designed a distinctive line of fabrics and accessories for a Miami – based bathroom accessory firm.

Joyce at HomeStories about her work have been published in Florida Design, the Miami Herald, the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, and other publications. On January 5, 2006 she was spotlighted on HGTV ‘s Designer Challenge.
Before starting her own firm, Joyce worked for Virginia Courtenay Interiors in Delray Beach from 1982-1986. She also did freelance work and taught interior design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale from 1986-1994.Joyce has been active in both her professional field and her community. She was tapped as president of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Florida South Chapter, from 1994-95, and served as the National Director of ASID, representing South Florida and Puerto Rico from 1996-1997. She is past president of IDAF and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Architecture and Interior Design for the State of Florida.

For her community, Joyce has served on Community Services Board and the Community Appearance Board for the City of Fort Lauderdale. She is also a Past President of the Women’s Executive Club.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and was among the first interior designers to receive a license from the State of Florida.

A Florida resident since 1978, Joyce was born and raised in Ohio, she and her husband of 21 years, Joel, share a home in Fort Lauderdale with their Wheaten Terrier, Clancy.
